Peter Nicholson

Peter Nicholson is a mining engineer with post graduate finance.  Currently Chair of Vytas Ltd and a Senior Advisor to boutique investment bank amicaa, he has nearly 30 years of experience in mining companies (10 years) and mining private equity (20 years).  

Having been Senior Advisor to Appian Capital Advisory and Managing Director Australia of Resource Capital Funds, Peter has extensive experience in origination, transaction evaluation, due diligence, structuring and managing mining investments.

Peter’s mining company experience includes serving as Managing Director for Ora Banda Mining Ltd (a publicly listed gold producer), the site manager for the construction of the Emily Ann Nickel Mine for LionOre Australia, and working at a multitude of underground mines with WMC Resources Limited.

Peter graduated from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) degree and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA).
