David Parker

David is the Executive Director, Western Australia for the Minerals Council of Australia (MCA) responsible for the activities of the MCA across Western Australia and providing a key interface with the national industry group on national and international issues impacting the sector.

Prior to joining the MCA, he was Director of External Affairs for Albemarle Lithium in Australia and before that Head of Corporate Affairs for Apache and Quadrant Energy. He has previously held senior external affairs, industry association and operational management roles in the Australian resources sector and has been variously based in Perth, Melbourne and the remote East Pilbara region of Western Australia.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Monash University, Melbourne and a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University in Perth. He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, Fellow of the Australian Institute of Energy and a Life Member of the Energy Club of Western Australia. He has also served as a member of the RAAF Reserve.
