Steph Byrom

With over twelve years of experience in decarbonisation and policy, Steph is a passionate and driven leader who aims to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy. She is currently the General Manager of Decarbonisation at Talisman, a leading provider of strategic and technical solutions for the mining industry. In this role, she assists clients to operationalise their decarbonisation strategy, identify opportunities for emissions reduction, and implement innovative and cost-effective projects.

Steph is also pursuing a PhD in Energy Policy at the University of Queensland, where she is developing a roadmap for achieving a reliable net-zero future in the Australian National Electricity Market. Steph leverages her academic and professional expertise to provide evidence-based and practical advice on decarbonisation and policy, and to contribute to the global efforts to mitigate and adapt to climate change.
