David is a Senior Consultant for CRU International, a global research and analysis firm for the mining and metals industries.

David has experience across a wide range of commodities, with a focus on ferrous and battery metals. His skillset combines his prior policy experience with CRU’s in-house market expertise to deliver bespoke strategy advice to clients with a focus on ESG and geopolitics.

David has led a number a key financing due diligence transactions within the battery metals industries – including nickel, cobalt and vanadium. He has also advised multiple Australian government agencies on domestic mineral development strategies.

David has been featured in a number of major publications, including Bloomberg, Nikkei Asia and ABC News, discussing critical minerals and mining investment. David is also a contributor to Future Mining Magazine.
