Caoilin Chestnutt

Caoilin Chestnutt is the General Manager – East at MEC Mining. Graduating in Earth Sciences from Trinity College, Dublin, Caoilin has worked in the resources industry for over 25 years across multiple commodities around the globe. She has held leadership roles at MIM/Xstrata (Glencore), Anglo American, BHP, Arrow Energy in both technical and commercial disciplines and was the Resources Investment Commissioner for Queensland Government and most recently Head of BD for BHP.

She was a finalist in the Women in Industry Awards, 2016 and 2023 and winner of the QRC/WIMARQ Exceptional Woman in Exploration Award. She is passionate about leadership and developing teams and individuals to perform at their best and commits considerable time in the role of mentor and mentee.
